Job description:

  • scientific work on a 2-year third-party funded project on sodium solid state batteries
  • preparation and characterisation of solids (carbon/sulphur)
  • construction and measurement of electrodes and cells
  • work in a research network
  • presentation and processing of results

Requirements:

  • completed scientific university degree in chemistry, materials science or electrochemistry
  • experience in synthesis and characterisation of inorganic solids and carbons
  • experience in electrochemical cell characterisation (charge/discharge experiments)
  • experience in battery research, experience in solid state batteries of advantage
  • very good knowledge of English
  • good knowledge of German advantageous
  • ability to work in a team, organisational skills
  • ability to work on an interdisciplinary research topic with different partners
